Questions

Frequently asked

Is Kidney Navigator really free?

Yes. Core tracking is free permanently, including logging, trends, the Emergency card and the care team directory. AI photo scanning is unlimited for your first 30 days and then continues at 3 free scans every calendar month. If you want more, Premium is $4.99 a month with no long-term commitment, and typing entries in yourself is always free.

What happens after my 30-day scanning trial?

Nothing you have logged goes away, and manual entry keeps working exactly as before. You move from unlimited scans to 3 free scans every calendar month, at no cost.

Can I cancel Premium any time?

Yes. Premium is a simple monthly subscription. Cancelling returns you to the 3-free-scans-a-month tier, and your account and data are unaffected.

How is this different from my dialysis center’s portal?

A center’s portal shows what your center records. Kidney Navigator is where you keep your own daily numbers, medications and questions, and share what you choose with the people helping you. Use both.

Do I need to download it from an app store?

No. Open the app in your browser and add it to your home screen. On iPhone or iPad, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

Does it give medical advice?

No. It provides educational information and tracking tools only. Please talk with your nephrologist, primary care doctor or dietitian about your own results, and call 911 in an emergency.

Who can see my information?

You can. Family or caregivers can view a read-only summary only when you send them a time-limited link. The Emergency card is a read-only summary that emergency staff can open without logging in.

Which languages does it support?

English, Spanish (Español) and Portuguese (Português).

How do I suggest a feature or report a problem?

Use the Request a Feature form inside the app, or call or email us using the contact details below. Please do not include health details in your message.
